TFP shoots, built around an idea
I take on a small number of test shoots each year from my studio at Rendlesham in Suffolk. They are built around ideas I want to explore, not open castings for anyone who gets in touch.

How this actually works
TFP stands for time for print. No money changes hands in either direction. I contribute the studio, my equipment, my time and the editing. You contribute your time and your look. We both walk away with images.
The shoots I run through this page are test sessions, things I want to create for my own portfolio. The ideas come from concepts I am curious about, or gaps in my commercial work that I want to fill. That means I am looking for specific looks rather than working with anyone who sends a message.
Experience level is rarely the deciding factor. What matters is whether your look fits the shoot I have in mind. If it does, and if we both think there is something worth creating together, we set a date and get on with it.
A few things worth knowing
No fee, no payment
This is a genuine TFP arrangement. There is no session fee for you, and I do not pay a modelling fee. The images are the exchange.
You keep the images
You will receive a set of edited photographs to use for your own portfolio, social media and website. Images cannot be used commercially, sold, or passed to a third party.
What I do with them
I use the images in my portfolio, on my website and on social media, and I credit and tag you wherever I post them. That is the return I get from a TFP shoot, and it is the only return I get.
Shoots are selective
If there is an active shoot with places available, the booking link below will be live. Otherwise, get in touch and I will keep your details on file.
Six shoots looking for a model
These are the shoots I want to make. Each one has its own page with the concept, the shot list and what the day asks of you. Have a read and tell me which one interests you.
I am not trying to fill them all at once. I would rather do one properly than three in a hurry. Every shoot here is safe for work, and if you are under 18 I will need a parent or guardian to confirm they are happy and to be present on the day.
The bit that matters
You are deciding whether to spend an afternoon in a studio with someone you have never met. These are the rules I work to, so you know where you stand before you get in touch.
Every shoot is safe for work
All my TFP sessions are safe for work. I do not shoot implied, lingerie, boudoir or nude work on a TFP basis.
That is the arrangement before we start and it does not change on the day. If a shoot is pitched to you as something else, it is not one of mine.
You can stop at any time
You can pause the session, take a break, or end it altogether, at any point and for any reason. You do not have to explain yourself and it will not be held against you.
If something is not working, say so. I would far rather hear it in the studio than read it afterwards.
Chaperones are welcome
You are welcome to bring someone with you to any shoot. A friend, a partner, a parent, an agent. You do not need to ask my permission and you do not need to give me a reason.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the whole session. That one is not negotiable and I will not shoot without it.
Tell me when you get in touch, so I know how many people to expect in the studio.
I do not touch models
Not to adjust clothing, not to move hair, not to reposition a hand.
Direction is given verbally, or I demonstrate it on myself. If something needs changing, I will describe it and let you do it.
Two ways to work together
Whether you have come from a casting call or you are getting in touch out of the blue, there are two ways in.
View the current shoot and book a place
If you have seen a casting call from me on PurplePort or elsewhere and been given a password, use the link below to read the shoot brief and book a place. The page covers the concept, what to bring, and how the day will run.
Send me a message and introduce yourself
If you do not have a password but you would like to work together, send me a WhatsApp message. Include a few recent photographs, a bit about yourself, and the kind of shoot that interests you. I read everything and I reply to everyone. If nothing is the right fit at the moment, I will keep you in mind for future shoots.
