Lynn Marie is a Norwich, Norfolk-based mature model with a solid amount of experience behind her, and that shows very quickly when I have her in front of the camera. She arrives prepared, understands how to use her body lines, and can hold a pose with real intent. More importantly, she is genuinely easy to work with. The atmosphere stays calm and focused, and we can move through variations efficiently without it ever feeling rushed.
What stands out to me about Lynn is her style. She has a strong eye for wardrobe and a clear sense of the story she wants the images to tell. Across this set, she moves comfortably between polished elegance and bolder fashion. One moment it is soft satin and warm tones with a confident, hands-on-hips stance, and the next it is structured faux leather and a more editorial attitude. She carries classic looks just as well as she carries something with edge, such as a leather jacket paired against a softer tulle skirt, which gives a nice contrast on camera. Her tattoos also add an extra layer of character and authenticity, and she is very natural about how they appear in frame.
In the studio, Lynn takes direction well, but she is not passive. She contributes ideas, adjusts subtly, and understands how small changes in chin, shoulders, and hands can shift the mood of a portrait. That combination of experience, presence, and personal style makes her a real joy to photograph, and it is the sort of collaboration that produces a varied, usable set of images rather than a collection of repeats.
New to this side of the camera?
I have written a set of pages for models, covering the things nobody explains until you have already been caught out by them. None of it is a sales pitch and most of it applies whoever you shoot with.
What happens at a shoot
Start to finish, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
Staying safe as a model
Checking a photographer, chaperones, and what you are entitled to ask.
Shoot types explained
What implied, editorial, commercial and the rest actually mean.
Want your own model portfolio shoot?
