Leah Rose is a Chelmsford-based model working across Essex and London, with a strong creative identity and a distinctive presence in front of the camera. My shoot with Leah was a very positive one. She was excellent to work with, communicated well, and brought a calm, thoughtful approach to the session.

What stood out to me was the way Leah understood mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling. Her own creative interests sit within a darker, more cinematic space, with influences that touch on fine art, folklore, horror, romantic styling, and more alternative visual culture. That gives her work a clear sense of direction without making it feel forced or over-performed.

In front of the camera, Leah has a composed and elegant presence. She responds well to direction, but also brings her own movement and interpretation to a shoot. That balance is important. It means the session can stay collaborative, with room for careful posing, subtle expression, and a slower, more considered pace when the image calls for it.

Leah also brings practical experience and preparation to a shoot. She has her own wardrobe of distinctive pieces, can apply different makeup looks, and clearly understands how styling contributes to the overall result. Her interest in 35mm photography also gives her a useful awareness of patience, timing, and the process behind image-making.

From my experience of photographing Leah, she is professional, reliable, creative, and easy to work with. She has the confidence to hold a frame, but also the calmness needed for more detailed, atmospheric portrait work. I would be very happy to work with her again.

New to this side of the camera?

I have written a set of pages for models, covering the things nobody explains until you have already been caught out by them. None of it is a sales pitch and most of it applies whoever you shoot with.
