Woodbridge, Suffolk

Laycie is a hobbyist model based in Woodbridge and someone I’ve recently had the opportunity to work with in the studio. She’s just starting out and currently building her portfolio, but already shows a calm focus and natural ability in front of the camera that made our session run smoothly from the outset.

Although new to modelling, she approached the shoot with thoughtfulness and a willingness to try different poses and ideas. What stood out most was her composure—she took direction well but also began to develop her own sense of what worked visually as the shoot progressed.

There’s something refreshingly grounded about working with someone at the beginning of their modelling journey. Laycie brought a quiet confidence to the studio, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she develops her style as she gains more experience.

She’s open to creative collaboration, and I imagine we’ll be working together again before long.

New to this side of the camera?

I have written a set of pages for models, covering the things nobody explains until you have already been caught out by them. None of it is a sales pitch and most of it applies whoever you shoot with.

What happens at a shoot
