Book a Paid Model Portfolio Shoot
This page is for booking a paid studio model portfolio shoot at Foyers Photography.
My studio is based at Bentwaters, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. These sessions are designed specifically for model portfolio development, including clean, versatile images that can be used for agency submissions, model profiles, comp cards, portfolio updates, and self-promotion on your own channels.
This is not a general portrait session, business headshot session, actor headshot session, or personal branding shoot. It is a model portfolio session, structured around variety, multiple looks, and portfolio-use images.
Model Portfolio Shoot Pricing

How the booking works
Step 1: Book your session
You book your session date by paying the £100 non-refundable session booking fee.
This secures the studio time and covers the work that happens before you purchase any images, including preparation and gallery build.
Step 2: The shoot
The session focuses on creating a range of portfolio-ready images.
This will typically include:
- clean headshots
- three-quarter portraits
- full-length images
- multiple looks
- different expressions
- simple portfolio variation
- fashion-led or editorial-style images where suitable
I will guide you throughout the shoot, particularly on posture, angles, hands, expression, and body position.
You do not need to arrive knowing exactly how to pose. The point of the session is to work through it properly and create images that are useful for you.
Step 3: Edited private gallery
After the shoot, I prepare a curated set of images in my standard edit style and upload them to your private online gallery.
Please allow 14 to 21 days for the gallery to be prepared.
The proof gallery is for choosing your images. Once you have selected and purchased the images you want, the final digital files can be downloaded from the gallery.
Step 4: Purchase and download
You purchase the images you want directly from your gallery at £10 per image.
You can buy as few or as many as you need.
Your private online gallery remains available for 12 months, so you can return within that period to purchase additional images if you need them later.
Optional retouch upgrades
My standard edit is kept natural and portfolio-appropriate.
If you want a more detailed finish on specific images, you can upgrade individual files.
Enhanced Retouch: +£10 per image
Enhanced Retouch may include work such as:
- stray hair tidying
- under-eye softening
- small wardrobe smoothing
- minor background tidy
- small distractions removed where appropriate
Beauty Retouch: +£20 per image
Beauty Retouch is for a higher-end finish where more time is spent on detail.
This may suit a small number of selected images where you want a more polished result.
Complex edits: quoted separately
Complex edits are not included as standard.
These may include:
- composites
- heavy object removal
- major background work
- significant clothing alterations
- more involved Photoshop work
If a complex edit is needed, I will quote for it separately.

Safe-for-work photography only
All paid model portfolio shoots at Foyers Photography are safe-for-work only.
My model portfolio work is focused on portraits, fashion-led images, editorial-style photography, creative portraiture, and portfolio-building images.
I do not use model portfolio shoots as a route into nude, implied nude, adult, or sexually suggestive work. That is not what these sessions are for, and I prefer everyone to be clear about that before the shoot is arranged.
This keeps the expectations simple, professional, and respectful from the start.
Chaperones are welcome
Models are always welcome to bring a chaperone to the studio.
I know that coming to a photography studio, especially for the first time, can feel like a big step. Having someone with you can make the experience feel easier and more relaxed.
A chaperone may be a friend, partner, parent, relative, or another trusted person.
I only ask that the chaperone understands that they are there to support the model, not to direct or take over the shoot. The best chaperones are calm, respectful, and allow the model and photographer to work together naturally.
There is a monitor in the studio, so images can be viewed during the session. This can also help a chaperone understand how the shoot is progressing without interrupting the flow too much.
Under-18 models
If the model is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must attend the shoot.
This is not optional.
I do not photograph under-18 models without an appropriate adult present. The parent or legal guardian must remain at the studio for the session and must be involved in agreeing to the shoot terms, image use, and any relevant consent forms.
For younger models, I keep the process clear, age-appropriate, and professional. The purpose of the session must be understood by everyone involved before the shoot takes place.
Posing, direction and boundaries
This may include direction on:
- posture
- head position
- shoulder angle
- hands
- expression
- stance
- seated poses
- full-length posing
- small adjustments that help the image work better
I do not touch models, adjust clothing, move hair, or physically place someone into a pose.
All posing direction is given verbally or demonstrated from a respectful distance. If hair, clothing, jewellery, or a collar needs adjusting, I will point it out and ask you, or your chaperone if appropriate, to make the adjustment.
Clothing, styling and comfort
You remain in control of clothing, styling, and comfort levels at all times.
I may give photographic guidance about what may work well on camera, such as colour, fit, layers, styling, or how an outfit may look against a particular background. However, the final decision on what you wear is always yours.
You can say no to any outfit, pose, lighting idea, styling suggestion, or direction.
That will not be treated as awkward. It is simply part of working respectfully.
If something does not feel right, it does not need to be used.
