Working with Michelle in the studio has been a genuine pleasure. She brings a strong sense of self, a clear creative instinct, and a fearless willingness to explore expression through movement, posture, and gaze. With a background in professional hair and makeup—across both editorial and bridal sectors—Michelle approaches a shoot with a highly attuned eye for detail and an understanding of how each visual element contributes to the final image.

She’s recently stepped in front of the camera, encouraged by fellow creatives who recognised the strength of her look and the energy she brings. Her experience behind the scenes gives her an intuitive understanding of light, shape, and styling, which makes directing her both easy and collaborative. She’s particularly expressive—something I value in portrait and fitness work—and not afraid to lean into character. Friends have affectionately compared her animated expressions to a “female Rik Mayall”, and I can see why.

Michelle is signed with UGLY Models and is open to creative partnerships that push the brief while remaining grounded in professionalism. She’s equally comfortable in sleek, stylised beauty shots or in physically dynamic poses, including fitness-based imagery. Beyond makeup and modelling, she also brings a wider creative toolkit that supports any collaborative process.

She’s adaptable, engaging, and takes direction with purpose. Whether we’re working with clean editorial looks, stylised fitness, or moodier expressive portraits, Michelle delivers considered and honest work throughout. I’m looking forward to seeing how she continues to develop in front of the camera.

New to this side of the camera?

I have written a set of pages for models, covering the things nobody explains until you have already been caught out by them. None of it is a sales pitch and most of it applies whoever you shoot with.

What happens at a shoot

Start to finish, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

Staying safe as a model

Checking a photographer, chaperones, and what you are entitled to ask.

Shoot types explained
