It has been a genuine pleasure working with JJ Phoenix. She brings a distinct presence to the studio—confident, expressive, and effortlessly magnetic in front of the camera. Her charisma translates through every image, not because she tries to be anything other than herself, but because she is completely at ease being just that.
JJ is a mature professional model whose approach to her work is marked by consistency, intuition, and poise. She knows how to move, how to hold still, and—crucially—how to create space in an image for the viewer to feel something. Each look she presents seems to come from a place of authenticity, and that integrity is visible throughout our sessions.
While JJ is stepping back slightly from modelling, she remains open to projects, paid assignments, and collaborations that feel meaningful or creatively fulfilling. Her Instagram account, @Photos_by_JJ_Phoenix, will still show signs of life—mainly because she’s also an exceptionally talented photographer in her own right. It’s not uncommon to find her behind the camera producing thoughtful, technically sound work, often with a strong personal voice.
I’m hopeful that our paths will cross again soon. Working with JJ has always felt like a conversation, not just a shoot—one where both sides are bringing something considered to the table.
