Vik joined me in the studio for her first shoot with Foyers Photography, and it was immediately evident that she brought both confidence and a strong sense of self to the session. Working with her was straightforward and rewarding. She possesses a distinctive presence in front of the camera, underpinned by an expressive energy that translated well into the images we produced.
Vik is returning to modelling after some time away from the industry. She began her journey at a younger age and is now re-engaging with it from a more grounded and reflective place. Her appearance is characterised by a striking blend of edge and elegance, with her tattoos contributing to a look that is both individualistic and versatile. This balance of alternative style with refined poise gives her a broad range for visual storytelling.
Her interests in gaming and nature influence her approach to modelling in subtle yet perceptible ways. There is an underlying narrative to the way she moves and connects with the camera – not overly directed, but instinctive and informed by the creative worlds she enjoys. She works particularly well in settings that invite a strong conceptual or stylistic theme, whether that’s urban and gritty or quiet and atmospheric.
Vik approaches each shoot with a mixture of professionalism and curiosity. She is clearly at ease in her skin, with a confident understanding of how to use posture, expression, and stillness effectively. This, coupled with her openness to direction and her evident passion for creative projects, made for a very productive session.
Given her ability to embody a range of styles – from fashion-forward looks to alternative and editorial narratives – I anticipate that she will continue to expand her portfolio with depth and variety. I look forward to seeing how her work develops.
New to this side of the camera?
I have written a set of pages for models, covering the things nobody explains until you have already been caught out by them. None of it is a sales pitch and most of it applies whoever you shoot with.
What happens at a shoot
Start to finish, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
Staying safe as a model
Checking a photographer, chaperones, and what you are entitled to ask.
